Springtime is here again!
Warmer temperatures, more perspiration – sounds familiar?
Well spring is upon us! It’s the time to awaken your skin and switch up your skincare routine. This is because, the care your skin needs in winter is much different from the care and attention it requires in the spring. Wondering how to give your skin the tender, love and care it needs this season?
Team R&R has got you! Keep reading for skincare tips and tricks to keep your skin healthy and glowing this season!
This spring season comes with more days enjoying the outdoors and sweating. This means you may need to double cleanse on a daily basis. This means you first wash your face with an oil-based cleanser to draw out and lift makeup and residue. Our Virgin Coconut Oil is & Baobab Oil are great options for this. Secondly, you use a water-based cleanser that will remove dirt and other impurities from you skin. Our Liquid black soap is your go – to.
Moisturise Day & Night
You have dry skin? Do not skip moisturising your skin day and night this spring season. (or any time of year, for that matter). Use R&R Luxury’s Shea Oil this season to keep your skin moisturised all day long. Leaving it soft and supple. Our Body Butter Balm is also portable enough to keep in your bag, so you can keep your skin moisturised 24/7, wherever you find yourself.
This season is the perfect time to exfoliate weekly – twice per week is most suitable. In other seasons such as winter, our skin can be dry and flaky. The best way to shed off your old, dry skin is through exfoliation. It reveals a fresh, new layer underneath the dead skin cells and improves your complexion. Our Shea Sugar Scrub does an effective job of shedding off your old skin, while leaveing your skin smooth and glowing.
Use our Shea oil & Shea soap to Ease Eczema
Eczema is a skin condition that becomes prevalent due to the warm, humid weather during spring. It’s the inflammation of the skin which causes red rashes and patches. To prevent eczema this season, we highly recommend that you use our honey & oatmeal shea soap and Shea Oil (Ori – Nku). They are both great for sensitive skin and the oatmeal (in the soap) is effective for helping with eczema. It is also a great relief from skin irritation, dryness and the unwanted symptoms of eczema.
Remove your makeup before bed
We cannot emphasize this enough. Girl! You need to remove your make before bed, especially in this season. We can understand that sometimes, you’re tired and exhausted from the day’s work and taking off your make up can become a chore! However, doing this prevents the build-up of clogged pores and a dull complexion. This is why we recommend using Baobab oil & Virgin Coconut Oil as a great hack to remove your make up. Cultivating this habit will ensure that you’re taking your healthy and glowing skin into these warmer months.
Enjoy this spring with your skin healthy and glowing all season 🙂
