Kindness is something that should be spread 365 days a year. That’s why Team R&R were super excited last weekend (Saturday November 13th), which was World Kindness Day. So what is “World Kindness Day,” you ask? Well, it’s a day where the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and the world is promoted. Kindness is so important because we never know what a person is going through. The smallest act of kindness and compassion can help make someone’s day so much brighter.

Here are some ways in which you can show kindness today and everyday…

Call and check in on your family members.

We tend to get so wrapped up in only sending messages or replying to social media posts; that we often lose sight of the real world. Yet, hearing a person’s voice can be uplifting. Mainly when you haven’t spoken in a while, and you’re catching up. For example, so many have not seen their families in almost two years due to the pandemic. So please take a quick pause from reading this article and give them a quick call to see how they’re doing. It will warm their hearts.

Send affirmations to friends.

Affirmations are positive statements that help you to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. Sending these uplifting messages can encourage someone to step out on faith and conquer a challenge they’ve been facing.

Compliment a random person.

I don’t know about you, but compliments always make us feel good, even when giving them to ourselves. Now, imagine how it would make a random person feel if you complimented them. If you see someone wearing a fly jacket, compliment them. Or, if you think someone has a dope vibe, compliment them.

Give someone a boost and express a compliment.

Kindness is one of our key pillars at Team R&R, find out how we spread kindness in this short video.

Let’s try to show compassion for others to bring us all together💚
